Yoga is for Every Body
Yoga is for Every Body, regardless of body type or age. Yoga is an ancient, systematic and holistic practice, leading one to express their full potential. A Sanskrit word, yoga means ‘unity‘ or ‘oneness’. On a practical level yoga is a means of balancing and harmonizing the body, mind and emotions. A kind of coming home to oneself. Though yoga’s essential theme is aligned with the spiritual path, yoga practice at is beneficial to everyone regardless of their spiritual beliefs.

Lis – Your Teacher
I am a 500 hour certified yoga instructor. After having practiced for several years I trained in the Satyananda lineage at Ashram Yoga NZ in 2011. I continue to train, attending various workshops each year. I am mostly instructing Hatha or Vinyasa Flow. You will be introduced to Yoga Nidra, a deep relaxation and at least once a term Restorative yoga. Occasionally we will include some Chi-Gong.
It is my sincere intention to impart some of the timeless wisdom of yoga teachings. I aim to enable and encourage the development of your personal practice and inner journey on and off the mat. Not just a series of physical exercises, the practice will develop awareness or mindfulness, compassion and contentment, helping us to transcend physical and mental limitations to arrive at an authentic and useful state of being.
